Description
Dunns Creek Downs has one very private 2 bedroom cabin set on 9 acres. It backs onto Mogo State Forest which has many trails suitable for bushwalkers, mountain bike & horse riders. NEW! We now also have accommodation for horses.
Our property is situated on a hill behind Rosedale – 200 feet above sea level. On really hot days when temperatures are soaring at sea level arriving at our property is like a breath of fresh air. In the winter months we don’t experience the cold winds coming off the ocean.
The cabin is carpeted and has leather lounges, reverse cycle air conditioning and a well appointed kitchen. There is a large covered deck, with a gas barbeque, beer fridge and tables and chairs. This is directly overlooking a rainforest creek, the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. There is also a paved courtyard with an outdoor setting. This is surrounded by native gardens inhabited by abundant bird & wildlife. Bird feeders are placed in the garden and we supply seed so you can feed the birds and see them up close. We have identified over 50 species of native birds, including several pigeons - some of them are very rare and can only be seen in a rainforest setting as we have on our property. We have compiled a bird book and supply binoculars so you can do the same.
There is plenty of room for families – you can use a whole paddock for a game of cricket. Children love exploring and collecting tadpoles from the dam.
Rosedale beach is just a 3 minute drive down the hill. It is renowned for its natural beauty, the many secluded beaches and coves and is less crowded than most other beaches.
Our property is unique in that it has the privacy and natural beauty of a bush hideaway but is in fact only minutes from beaches, shops and clubs.

Two rooms - one with a double bed and one with a queen size and a single bed.
Rates
Peak season - 19/12/09 - 30/01/10 $1300. Rest of January $200 per night. 7 night minimum - Sunday to Sunday
High season - 30th Jan - 31st March & April / October school holidays
$650.00 per week /$120.00 per night / $250 weekend.
Easter - 3 night minimum $150 per night.
Mid season - 1st April - 1st June & 1st Sept - 18th December 2009 & June school holidays.
$550 per week /$100 per night / $220 weekend (not including April & October school holidays).
Low season
1st June - 1st September
$450 per week / $80 per night
$200 weekend (not July including school holidays - see mid season rates).
Prices are based on 2 people ($10.00 extra per person per night).
Horses $10.00 per horse per night.
Nightly prices are based on a 2 night minimum, one night stays may be negotiated if there is one night available between bookings or if accommodation is available close to arrival date ($20 surcharge for one night stays).
