2008 & 2010 FINALIST - TAKE A BREAK BEST PLACES TO STAY
From the generous deck of this 3 bedroom cottage you can gaze out onto the casuarinas overlooking the lagoon. Listen to the waves breaking on the nearby beach. Or step down to the water-side deck. You could read a book, watch the native ducks go past, or watch the fish meandering about.
It’s just a 2-minute stroll to stunning South Rosedale beach. Great for a swim, a lazy read on the beach or a bit of beach or rock fishing.
When your dogs want to Take a Break from playing in the back yard (fenced on three sides but not along the lagoon), take them for a walk along the beach. No problem! Right up until the end of October dogs are allowed off-leash 24 hours a day along most of South Rosedale beach. In summer, dogs can run off-leash up to 9 am and after 5 pm. Check current times on the sign at the entry to the beach.
We have a large kennel set up on the deck just adjacent to the dining room window, although we are happy for small dogs to sleep inside, in their doggie baskets.
If you've got small kids, they could try their hand at fishing down on the little jetty at the bottom of the garden, where you can easily keep an eye on them. Get the tiniest hooks you can find, a small float and sinker, put a tiny dab of prawn on the hook and let them try their luck.
PLEASE NOTE: Small children in the back garden will need to be supervised at all times, given the water frontage.
To make sure you’re comfortable, the house is appointed with a polished hardwood floor, glorious reverse cycle heating, a Sony Bravia full HD TV, DVD player, dishwasher, microwave, BBQ, washing machine and clothes dryer.
The house is kept spotlessly clean, and we provide all your normal kitchen and bathroom consumables.

The property has 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a double bed, and the middle bedroom has two single beds.
All beds are provided with mattress protectors, high quality doonas and pillows. Water-proof mattress protectors are in the linen cupboard for parents with small children.
Our cleaners work over-time to ensure that you find the house fresh, airy and spotlessly clean on arrival.

Rates
Rates below are for 1-2 adults, kids free, and include cleaning costs. For additional adults, add $10 per night per adult. For term school holidays add $20 per night. A linen service is available: to have the queen bed made up with sheets and pillow-slips add $25, or to have all beds in the house made up, add $50.
