MEDIEVAL ST THIBERY, LANGUEDOC
Value-for-money apartments with free wifi internet access, private entrances and terraces, in a typical French village house in the medieval village of St Thibéry, among the vines, fifteen minutes from golden beaches. Superb local wines and seafood. Visitors can swim, sail, bike, boat, (even try river rafting!), enjoy horse riding, tennis or golf, or just relax in the sun. Visit the ancient town of Agde, Molière’s Pézenas, the fishing village of Sête, the fresh oyster lagoons at Mèze and Bouzigues. Museums, art galleries, concerts, exhibitions are found in nearby Béziers, Narbonne and Montpellier. Closer to the village, visit a farmers market in the morning to buy a picnic lunch, take a boat or bike along the Canal du Midi, enjoy boules later in the village, later still dine at the Michelin star restaurant in Marseillan or one of many others nearby. Further afield, university regional capital Montpellier, Nîmes, Aix, the Crusaders’ Aigues Mortes, Camargue wildlife, the spectacular Cévènnes, medieval walled Carcassonne, even the Spanish Costa Brava and Barcelona, all within an easy drive.
