Description
Villa Petronilla is a characteristic and welcoming four-story villa built on a hillside, surrounded by meadows and woods. It sleeps nine people. From Villa Petronilla you will enjoy an enchanting view of the Tuscan hills. Villa Petronilla is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a nice private terrace, a shared patio, a private garden, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 3 km (1.9 miles) from the center of Impruneta, where you will find restaurants, the shops and public transportation.
To stay at Villa Petronilla you will need a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, free of charge in a reserved parking space.
Villa Petronilla is tended by a caretaker, who resides in an annex on the premises.
Villa Petronilla is nested on the hills that surrounds the small village of Impruneta, in the heart of the Chianti region. Once an old tower, after the renewal in the seventies it has become a villa that has not lost the magic of the ancient times.The old pit, the patio made of classic cotto of Impruneta, famous all over the world, are a touch of the medieval times. The Villa is a place to have a resting holiday. The olive groves that surrounds the Villa and the wonderful scenery of the Chianti vineyards will enchant you. At Villa Petronilla you will enjoy a swimming pool, with a very particular shape, a wonderful "loggia" and a soccer field where you can play freely and have fun together!
The owners, who live in a nearby detached house, will be discreetly at your disposal in case you need any help or suggestions to plan your trips to Florence, Siena and Arezzo. And if you want to learn the classic Tuscan cuisine, you can sign up for a fee for a cooking lesson with Miss Veronica, who will be glad to teach you all the tricks to take home with you a little bit of Tuscany. The lessons are attended by external guests (a maximum of 10 members each). They are set in the little cottage reachable from the patio, so you don't have to go too far! In this way you can learn the secrets of the Tuscan cuisine!
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 4 meters (13 feet) large by 12 meters (39 feet) long, from 80 centimeters (2.6 feet) to 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) deep. The swimming pool has a sinuous shape. The swimming pool area is equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. It is partly shaded by a gazebo. The pool is open from mid-May until mid-September.
Terrace
The terrace is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the kitchen or from the first bedroom through a French door. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue. From the terrace you will enjoy an enchanting view of the Tuscan countryside.
Patio
The patio is 70 square meters (750 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a characteristic wood roof. It is equipped with tables and chairs. From the patio you will enjoy an enchanting view of the Tuscan hills. The patio, which is for your exclusive use, is occasionally crossed by the people attending the cooking class.
Garden
The garden is 200 square meters (2150 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a metal roof. It is equipped with tables and chairs. From the garden you will enjoy an enchanting view of the Tuscan hills.
Entrance LevelLiving Room
The living room is paved with Tuscan terracotta tiles. The furnishings are elegant and welcoming. The furnishings include three sofas, two armchairs and a desk. There is a big and age-old fireplace, for decorative purposes only. In this room you will find a large satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the patio with a view of the hills through a French door. The room has two windows with a view of the vegetation and of the hills.
Dining Room
You will be able to enter the dining room from the corridor. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. The dining table can accommodate 14 guests. The room has two windows with a view of the vegetation and of the hills.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the dining room. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker, a toaster and other small appliances. Here you will also find a washing machine, a clothes dryer, an iron and an ironing board. There is a table to seat eight guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the terrace with a view of surrounding countryside.

The first bedroom is paved with Tuscan terracotta tiles. The furnishings are modern and welcoming. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include an armchair. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the hills through a French door. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
First LevelBedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the vegetation and of the hills.
